Should I use the paper tablecloth my sister-in-law gave me, or my new pretty cloth one?
My husband and I picked out a pretty cloth table cloth last week with the intentions of me putting it on the table for Christmas dinner. This past Friday, I saw my sister-in-law, and since she´s visiting with her family for Christmas, she gave me a bag with a pretty, but not as pretty, paper table cloth. I didn´t have the heart to tell her we already have a cloth one planned.
Should I:
1. Use her table cloth on Christmas and use ours the next night
2 Tell her thank you, but use our table cloth on Christmas and use hers the next night
Paper is paper and Cloth is Cloth. there is no way you can compare the two. If the paper is suitable for your place ware, I say use it to start the meal, that way it gets dirty and your awesome nice one doesn’t. It would be proper etiquette to use the equipment that your guest brought and save yours.
