Can I use a steel drum to build a fire pit?
I want to take a 55 gallon steel drum and cut it to use as a bowl for a fire pit. I would take agle iron and bold legs to it using stainless see bolts. Is a steel drum good for doing this? if i were to paint it with stove paint would that work? I am just nervous that the steel drm is too thin or the material is incorrect etc.
Anyone know of any websites with instructions or can anyone answer my questions?
Your plan will work. Be sure to put some drain holes in the bottom or it will fill with rain.
