I have a shield and ? in my permanent part of my tool bar that keeps trying to get me to buy Virus Heat?
I can’t figure out how to get rid of it . It pops up all the time telling me I have spyware in my computer. if i click it it just trys to get me to buy a thing called virus heat. I don’t know where it come from I have avast but I let a friend use my computer and he turned the firewall off on it while using it. anyone know how i can’t get rid of this
Virus Heat is fake anti-virus and is spyware/adware you need to do a anti-spyware/adware scan if you don’t have anti-spyware I suggest you download
spybot search and destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html
and Ad-aware http://lavasoft.com/
both are free and been about for years and well proven install them update them and run scans they should get rid of it for you
if you have any problems start in safe mode and run the scans
to start in safe mode reboot and keep tapping the F8 key before the windows loading logo appears, when you get to the boot menu use the cursor keys to choose safe mode from the list then press enter
