planning my mom’s birthday party?
this is the first birthday party i’ve ever put together, so i need some tips and encouragement, we are going to hawaii december 2011, and i kinda wanted the party to be hawaiian themed, and i want it to be a surprise party, these are my ideas so far

kitchen turned into a tiki bar
hawaiian themed music
and pineapple something.
what are some other good ideas for a hawaiin themed surprise 50th birthday blast off? the party is not until march 5th but i want to start planning now so i can get everything ready to go. no nasty answers please!
Well just wanted to tell you that even though this might be your first party you are putting together and it may seem stressful now or at times I would not worry to much because I am sure your Mom will love it because You did this for her..How Much Fun this is going to be.. What a Great Start you are off to..Good ideas so far..Some other things you can add are:
1. Leia’s(they are flowered necklaces)You can probably find them anywhere.
2. Shells or Coconuts..sometimes you can find them as bras.
3. Tropical Fruit- Pineapple,mangoes,coconut(use fresh whole pineapple as deco even,sliced,same with mangoes and coconut..
4. You can even use just flowers for decorations..
5. Research recipes for Tropical or Hawaiian parties..There are many sights you can find great things on..
6.Tropical or floral print,surf type shirts..
Also I remember a sight I used to get things from in bulk for parties that the prices were reasonable maybe you can check it out.It was ( www.orientaltradingcompany.com)
