How do I replace this part of my furnace?
I have a Trane XE 1200 outdoor heat pump and an icicle must have fallen on it-the top mount piece that holds in the fan is cracked-the top cover/motor mount grill combination. Would that be under warranty, don’t tell me they don’t sell it or to call somebody, that isn’t useful.
Unfortunately the only place to get Trane parts is at “Trane Parts Center” and they do not sell to the public. It is an oddball part and you won’t find it anywhere else. If you are talking about the center plastic round plate in the middle of the grill it really isn’t a necessary part for operation as the motor below is sealed on top. The unit will run as normal without it.
