How to clean grill gunk & grease off concrete patio to prep for paint?
A few years ago when my patio was new, the builders covered the concrete with the standard gray concrete paint. Since then, I’ve been a dummy and have let grease & gunk from my grill & smoker drain onto the floor. It’s more than just a stain – it’s built up grease.
I want to paint the floor a different color & basically start over with a fresh look.
I’ve used some QuickCrete concrete degreaser & it did a decent job, but it didn’t cut thru it all.
What are my options now? Etching/cleaning with muriatic acid? Scrubbing forever on my knees with dish soap & water?
Your last question of dishsoap on your hads and knees is the cheepest way…Pleeeeease don’t use muriatic acid, it’s just too dangerous, o.k. ?
You can also try acetone…You can get it at the hardware store…Also dangerous but not nearly so as muriatic acid…
The quickest way ? Rent a sand blaster..
